AMERICAN LEGION
BUCKEYE BOYS STATE
FOUNDATION

The American Legion Buckeye Boys State Foundation is a public educational trust dedicated to augmenting needs of the parent American Legion Buckeye Boys State program and the young men from Ohio who attend the program annually.

The American Legion Buckeye Boys State Foundation is approved by the Ohio Attorney General as a Public Charitable Trust and the Internal Revenue Service as a Public Charity under Title 501(c)(3).

Through assets of the Buckeye Boys State Foundation, the following program needs of the American Legion Buckeye Boys State program are assisted:

    EDUCATION AND TRAINING: The Boys State Foundation provides funding for equipment, supplies, and other program needs to support the overall goal of the Boys State program.

    SPEAKERS: The American Legion Buckeye Boys State program strives to bring to the program leaders in Ohio government, individuals recognized nationally, motivational speakers, and other notable persons.

    Expenses necessary to secure the services of these speakers may be borne by the Buckeye Boys State Foundation.

    AWARDS: The American Legion Buckeye Boys State Foundation provides six (6) Government Excellence Awards annually to selected Boys State citizens.

    Each award consists of a $1,000 (face value) United States Savings Bond and an accompanying certificate.

Gifts contributed from individuals, families, business, American Legion Posts, and former Boys State delegates comprise the assets of the Boys State Foundation.
