Legislative Service Commission

Positions exist within the Buckeye Boys State program for two (2) young men interested in learning how the Senators and Representatives in the Ohio General Assembly are supported in the organization, administration, and preparation of the Legislative and Administrative processes of the General Assembly, to serve on the staff of the Buckeye Boys State Legislative Service Commission.

Members of the Legislative Service Commission have an opportunity to hone and expand their computer skills and administrative skills by working with the Senators and Representatives in the Buckeye Boys State General Assembly, several administrative software programs, and professional advisors.

Legislative Service Commission members can learn more about the workings of the overall Buckeye Boys State Senate and House than the individual Senators and Representatives because positions on the Legislative Service Commission support the overall Legislative process.

An on-line application form for the Legislative Service Commission is available. Applications for the Legislative Service Commission must be received by June 1st. No applications will be accepted at Boys State.
