Welsh County Mayors Work to Raise Tourism

The mayors of the cities of Welsh County are cooperating to bring together new policies and procedures to align their cities and bring profit to the county.

The cities within Welsh County have been coordinating plans ranging from construction to law and order to creating a greater camaraderie between the cities and to promote cooperation between city delegates. One example of this is the Parks and Recreation directors collaborating to create more opportunities for recreational activities after the workday.

The county has also worked on passing laws to deter late arrivals at city meetings and line-ups, such as legislation drafted to institute a fine for being late to line-ups.

Welsh County has also been working assiduously on the foundation of a casino in order to bring more wealth into the county. The mayor of Jordan City, Samuel Greenslade, has expressed his desire to build the casino in his own city to bring fun and tourism to Jordan City. Mayor Samuel Greenslade stated, “I want it to be more fun. I want to encourage people to visit Jordan from other cities.”

Mayor of Bishop City, Lucas Buchheit, has expressed his desire to create more landmarks in order to bring in tourism to his own city as well. Colton Carli, the mayor of Zulch City, has expressed similar interest in creating infrastructure to enhance the city and improve the quality of life. 

Many of these projects have been coordinated between the three cities of Welsh County. From public works such as roads to the foundation of the casino, to improvements in city rules, these Mayors have brought in new interest in their cities, unifying them at American Legion Buckeye Boys State.

 The mayors and executives of the cities of Welsh County have also been active in attempting to create change in state government, from the licensing of the casino to other bills being drafted through the legislature.

Welsh County is working hard to become a place where people come to have fun and to feel proud in their city, a mission the mayors of the city are fighting for every day.
