A sensational surprise is coming to American Legion Buckeye Boys State (ALBBS) this Thursday afternoon from 3:00-5:00pm: the College Fair. This fair will hold over 60 colleges and military organizations. However, it isn’t just the colleges that are interesting; it is what people are hoping to get out of them.
“I want to discuss with the service academies…I think that a difficult application process can help me out and have someone to talk to,” said Patrick L. Maden from Jordan City.
He hopes to gain a better understanding of the application process and what it would take for him to get into those colleges.
“I want to discuss with the service academies…I think that a difficult application process can help me out and have someone to talk to.”
When asking Bryce Gajda from Jordan City of what he’s wanting, he stated, “I’m hoping to get introduced to more colleges that I haven’t had a chance to go visit or really learn about.”
He does know that with so many opportunities there, he’s sure there will be a college that he will like.
In terms of colleges people are interested in, one individual had stated that he’s probably going to end up going to Ohio University, one of the colleges that will be at the fair today. He was also thrilled to look into new colleges that may work better and provide better scholarships that are suited to his needs.
The college fair indeed will have many opportunities for people to reflect on what they’re looking for in their futures and continue their journey beyond ALBBS and high school.
