The governor of the American Legion Buckeye Boys State (ALBBS), Dajeun Dickerson Jr. of Zulch City is being sued by Preston Buchanan of Zulch City for breach of implied contract, promissory estoppel, fraudulent inducement, and negligent misrepresentation.
Claims arose of campaign issues that the governor had during his campaign such as promising other delegates jobs and certain positions that he was going to appoint people to. James Toth IV of Zulch City said, “His lieutenant had dropped out of the running…”
After this, Toth claimed that the governor had felt bad and said “Here, [I’m gonna] give you a spot in my cabinet.” He never got a spot and then had to go to the job fair to try and find a job, since the governor did not appoint him to one.

Breach of implied contract is based on the reasonable understanding and suggestion of a mutual agreement. Promissory estoppel, similarly, is a legal principle that when someone makes a promise without a contract and another person is harmed by relying on that promise.
The third claim, fraudulent inducement, is where one party is tricked or misled into entering a contract with another based on false statements or promises. Finally, the fourth claim, negligent misrepresentation, is when an individual unknowingly makes a false statement that they should have known was false and caused harm without knowing.
Dickerson allegedly said these things so that he would be able to get more votes from the people and win the election, but none of these appointed positions were received by the people he promised them to. The jobs lined up and potential salaries were lost which resulted in small damages and claims for each client, which will be a part of this settlement.
On Friday morning, the final verdict from the jury ruled in favor of the Governor, finding him not guilty of the alleged crimes and absolving him of any wrongdoing or having to pay a fine to the people.
