A party dubbing themselves “The Pack” came together on Monday, composed of delegates from both the Nationalist and Federalist parties going against the party lines that divided them. Together, they united to make their own stand in the forming government.
Formed by a total of fourteen members, the party would then gain support from outside delegates. “The Pack” stood as a common ground between the Federalist and Nationalist parties.
Members of both parties who created the platform cheered at its formation, as it provided layers of benefits for candidates in the election. The platform was aimed at appealing to all voters, no matter their political association.
Nationalist Ethan Tonni of Pennell City would describe the venture’s ideals through the phrase “Unity in Action,” as it would create the necessary bonds between the two divided parties to come together.
Federalist Maddox Lenga of Pennell City also discussed the ideals of the platform, stating, “work [was] for the betterment of both sides, the people, … and the county.”
Lenga got to see this vision come forth through “The Pack”, as the “need to get policy made… [meant the] need to collaborate with the other party.”
He did mention his fear that his party would view him “as a traitor,” but said it did not have any effect over his decision to help create the platform as he believed that both parties understood the benefits of the endeavor.
The influence of “The Pack” reached various supporters who were not directly involved in the creation of the platform. Multiple delegates mentioned their support in speeches advertising their campaigns, using their commitment to unity to appeal to the voters, but ultimately the party was never formally recognized nor did they make the ballot.
