Comprehensive Parking Guide for Delegates
Delegates driving themselves to the American Legion Buckeye Boys State at Miami University must secure a parking pass prior to arrival and surrender their keys to their City Counselor at the first City Meeting at 2:00 pm. Parking will be exclusive to the West Millett Hall parking lot, you will not be permitted to move or utilize your vehicle during the week. Vehicles improperly parked, parked in an unauthorized lot, or vehicles not registered for a parking pass may be subject to fines or towed at the owner’s expense by Miami University. Parking Pass Instructions
Delegates driving themselves to the American Legion Buckeye Boys State must obtain a parking pass upon arrival. To secure your pass, please select “GET YOUR PASS” and follow the instructions, you will need to know your license plate number.
Once verified, you will receive confirmation but will not receive any physical pass, Miami University utilizes a plate scanning system for parking verification. For any assistance, our staff will be available to guide you through the process.
Accessing the parking registration system.
1.Follow the parking permit “GET YOUR PASS” button to Miami’s Parking Portal.
2.If you have had a Miami parking permit before, Login. Click “Reset forgotten
password” if you have forgotten your password.
3.If you are new to Miami, click “Guest Login”
4.Select “Create an Account”
5.Fill in the required fields and select a password.
6.After account creation or login, return to the Buckeye Boys State Website and re-select “GET YOUR PASS”
Registering for Parking Permit
1.After completing the account creation and clicking on “GET YOUR PASS” a second time, you should see that you have been authorized for a permit.
2.Click “Next”
3. On the next page you should see the permit for American Legion Buckeye Boys State and a total of $0. Select the permit and check the boxes to abide by the rules, regulations, and terms.
4. You will now be prompted to add a vehicle to your account. Enter all the required fields.
5. Now you can add the vehicle to your permit and select “Next.”
6. On the view cart page, review your details to make sure everything is accurate and the amount is $0. Select “Next” to checkout.
7. Select “Pay Now” to finalize your order. (there will be no charge)
8. The next page will be your confirmation.
You should also receive an email
confirmation of successfully registering your vehicle for American Legion Buckeye Boys State.
Parking and Logistics FAQs
Where can I park my vehicle during Boys State ?
Delegates are required to park in the designated West Millett Hall Parking Lot on the North end of campus. Millett Hall is also the location for Registration and Graduation.
Do I need to pay for parking?
No, parking is complimentary for all delegates attending the American Legion Buckeye Boys State. Ensure your vehicle is registered and your license plate is visible to avoid any issues.
Can I use my car during the week?
No, delegates are not allowed to move their car during the week and will be required to surrender their keys to the City Counselor by 2:00 pm on the day of arrival.
Are there accessible parking options available?
Yes, accessible parking spaces are available near the main entrance. Please reach out to us if you require assistance or special accommodations.
Does my Parent/Guardian need a Parking Pass?
Most likely, NO! If they are dropping you off, attending the Saturday Visitation Day, or attending Graduation on Sunday; no parking pass is required. A parking pass is required during the week.
What if I arrive after registration hours?
If there is a chance you may arrive after registration, please contact us immediately so we know when to expect you. A member of the Buckeye Boys State Staff will be reaching out to the parents/guardians of delegates who have not arrived as expected.
