BUCKEYE BOYS STATE CHECK-IN

Registration for the 2008 session of Buckeye Boys State will be conducted from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2008 in the Harshman Residence Halls and the Kreischer Residence Halls on the campus of Bowling Green State University.

Please plan to arrive between 12 noon and 1:30 p.m. Registration will close at 1:30 p.m. Note: An exception to the established Registration time period will be made for delegates arriving late due to special circumstances who have been approved in advance by the Director of Buckeye Boys State.

Nearly 1,350 people will be registered between 12:00 noon and 1:30 p.m.

To assist you and your parents in arriving at the registration area, a Traffic Plan will be in effect on the streets around the Bowling Green State University complex.

Please follow the Boys State Traffic Control personnel and Ohio State Highway Patrol Officers, who will direct you into and out of the Registration area.

Chartered busses bringing delegates will also follow the Traffic Pattern.

The traffic pattern has been designed to move you in and out of registration quickly.

Each delegate will check-in directly to the Front Desk of one of the following Residence Halls used by the Boys State program as directed on the Boys State Check-In form provided in each Delegate Information Packet:
 

Color coded directional signs, which correspond to the check-in forms, will be located outside each Residence Hall to help you find the correct Residence Hall where you will check in.

Boys State staff personnel will also be available to assist in directing you.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU HAVE YOUR GREEN EMERGENCY INFORMATION FORM IN YOUR PHYSICAL POSSESSION AT THE TIME OF CHECK-IN. Do not pack the Green Form in your suitcase. It must be in your hand at the time you check-in.

At the check-in desk, you will show the clerk your Green Emergency Information form. In turn you will be given a white registration card and directed to your residence floor where staff personnel will meet and direct you to your Boys State city and your room.

DO NOT LOSE THE WHITE REGISTRATION CARD. IT MUST BE TURNED INTO YOUR CITY COUNSELOR.

Special Attention: Alternates or delegates experiencing a registration problem are asked to come to the Boys State Headquarters office located at the Harshman C/D Front Desk for assistance.
